Of course my window decides to fail on the hottest day of the week – I rolled it down at a drive-thru and now it won't go back up, just makes a grinding noise like something's broken inside the door. I'm pretty sure the regulator cable snapped because I've heard these things are common on older Japanese cars. Has anyone used a shop in Abu Dhabi that can replace a window regulator quickly without charging an arm and a leg?
