My wife has finally given me the green light to get a weekend toy and I've been eyeing this 2019 Camaro 2SS convertible in bright yellow that's been sitting at a small lot near Al Barsha South but the only thing holding me back besides the obvious fear of buying someone else's burnout machine is whether that soft top is going to turn into a faded leaking mess after one summer parked outside my villa. I test drove it yesterday with the top down and honestly it was pure bliss but when I put the roof back up there was this faint whistle from the passenger side window seal and the salesman just shrugged and said they all do that which didn't exactly fill me with confidence. My main concern isn't even the engine because the LT1 is pretty stout if you don't beat on it constantly, it's the little stuff like the AC evaporator core going bad or the convertible mechanism getting jammed because of all the fine dust that gets into every crevice in this country. I found a place online that does a pretty thorough Camaro Vehicle Inspection Service Dubai and they apparently check the drainage channels for the roof and test the hydraulic pump pressure which is exactly the kind of detailed look I need before I commit to a car that might turn into a mobile sauna or a rain catcher come the next unexpected downpour. Has anyone here actually owned a soft top American car in this climate and can tell me if I'm just asking for a lifetime of squeaks and rattles or if they actually hold up fine with a bit of care?
