iptvtalk.online isn’t governed by strict rules, but rather guided by moderators who make difficult judgment calls when necessary. Below are guidelines to help maintain the quality and spirit of the forum. Some are tips, while others function as strict rules, categorized as "Cardinal" and "Compulsory."
#### Cardinal Rules
1. English Only: The only language allowed in posts is English. Poor computer translations will be treated as non-English posts.
2. Moderators' Authority: Administrators and moderators always have the final say.
3. No Trolling: Don’t post inflammatory content just to provoke reactions. Always focus on substance.
4. Respectful Discourse: Attack ideas, not people. No personal, racial, ethnic, or gender-based attacks. Flaming or insulting others will result in action.
5. Handling Complaints: Complaints must be communicated privately through PM, “Report this Post,” or email. Offending posts will be edited or removed, and users will receive two private warnings followed by a final warning from an Administrator. Persistent offenders will face a one-week ban, followed by a permanent ban if the behavior continues.
6. No Offensive Material: No pornographic or sexually explicit content. Any suggestive images will be scrutinized.
7. No External Forum Links: Do not post links or requests that direct to other forums.
8. Post in the Right Forum: Ensure posts are relevant to the correct section.
9. Privacy Respect: Don’t post personal information (phone numbers, addresses, etc.) without permission.
10. One Account Rule: Every user can have only one account, and each account is to be used by only one person.
11. No Foul Language in Thread Titles: Keep thread subjects clean.
12. No Blatant Advertising: Advertising competing products is not allowed.
13. No Spamming: No commercial posts, flooding, or private message spamming to promote other services.
#### Compulsory Rules
1. Descriptive Subject Lines: Always use clear and descriptive subject lines to avoid duplicate posts and make it easier for members to find what they’re interested in.
2. Limit Foul Language: Swearing is not tolerated. You can express opinions without using offensive language.
If you violate these rules, you will receive warnings. Repeated violations will result in account action.
#### Signature Guidelines
- Signatures may include a link to your personal site but must follow all community guidelines—no swearing, flaming, or adult content.
- Violations will result in a private request to change the signature. Failure to comply will lead to the signature being altered by the moderator team.
#### Additional Rules
- Exchanging IPTV Servers: You can use the forum to exchange local streams and virtual servers. However, violating the rules will earn warning points, with penalties escalating from temporary bans to permanent bans.
- Instant Bans: Foul language, pay servers, or racist comments will result in immediate bans.
- Forbidden Posts: Do not share streams, IP addresses, DNS addresses, or Instant Messenger contacts (e.g., Skype, WhatsApp). Email addresses should also not be posted in open forums.
- Commercial Servers: Offering or requesting commercial servers is strictly forbidden.
- File Uploads: Do not upload files. If you wish to share a file, post a link to the source. The only exception is the IPTV Talk-Bundle.
- Meaningless Replies: Avoid one-word or one-line responses such as "Thanks" or "Answered in PM." Use the “Like” button for appreciation, and if necessary, resubmit posts for attention without saying “Up.”
- PM Restrictions: You cannot send private messages until you’ve made two meaningful posts.
#### Chat and Sharing Rules
- No One-Word Responses in Chat: Avoid brief, non-contributive comments in chat like “Thanks” or “PM.”
- Sharing Restrictions: Do not use the chat for asking or offering IPTV shares, and refrain from requesting local cards or card-sharing in IPTV sections.
